How Commissioning an Illustration Works

Here’s everything I need from you to begin your custom home illustration:

1. Send Me Your Photos

  • Daytime photos work best (2-5 bright and clear photos)

  • The desired side of the building should be fully visible

  • Close-ups of details (brick, trim, landscaping) are helpful but optional

2. Choose Your Style & Size

  • Black & White or Full Color

  • The illustration size you want (ex: 12”x9”, 14”x11”, 17”x14”)

  • Frame or No Frame

3. Tell Me Any Important Details

  • Include anything you want emphasized, like doors, or removed, like trees.

4. Receive Your Quote

  • Once I have your info and photos, I’ll send you a price based on size, style, and complexity.

5. Pay the Deposit

  • For most commissions, I require half up front and half at completion. Once the deposit is paid, I begin work. I’ll update you as needed while I draw. When finished, I’ll send a photo for approval before delivery or pickup. Each illustration comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and a hand-written note from me!

    Pricing - Black and White: Full Color:

12”x 9” - $200 $300

14”x 11” - $300 $450

17”x 14” - $450 $650

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes - unless you specify otherwise I will clean up the image to look as pleasing as possible.

  • Yes. I can take multiple different photos and render the image based on everything I can see. But the clearer the photos the better.

  • Yes, I will send you progress photos before I send out the final product.

  • Standard turnaround is 7-10 business days from the time I receive your photos.

  • I currently use ink and alcohol markers but watercolor is available upon request.

    Note: watercolor will change the pricing and expected turnaround time.
